hi-ro has been our childhood cookies, way before we knew oreo existed (am in my mid-thirties ;-)
don't think its name is a corruption from oreo.. altho i can only surmise :-)
Sweet! I didn't know that--in fact the companies were so similar (Nabisco vs. Fabisco) that I actually wondered if they were the same brand or sister companies.
I am 49 and that is one favorite cookies during my childhood!
